  • Jewish School - is this right?

    Some one just sent me this and I though I'd share.

    The construction of the UK's most expensive state school has begun.

    Thats right - a State School - as in, funded by your taxes.

    But this school will only be for children from the Jewish population

    Someone please tell me this is messed up.

  • You are all invited to a barbeque on expenses

    The squatters who have liberated the vacant second home of Mr & Mrs Keen MPs are inviting anyone who would like to see where their taxes have been going to a barbeque tomorrow. "Starting at 2pm. Bring food and barbeques and anything else that may be of use. Brook Road South, look for the banners."

  • MOH ecipient, Bud Day

    I know this will start a great debate but maybe just maybe we should ask the ones that have been on the other end what they think should happen. Not sure but am sure that the discussion will be on going

    image001[1]

    I got shot down over N Vietnam in 1967..a sq commander.

    After I returned in 1973.. I published 2 books that dealt a lot with "real torture" in Hanoi . Our make believe president is branding our country as a bunch of torturers when he has no idea what torture is.

    As for me..put thru a mock execution because I would not respond...pistol whipped on the head...same event.. Couple of days later...hung by my feet all day. I escaped and got recaptured a couple of weeks later.. I got shot and recaptured. Shot was OK...what happened after was not.

    They marched me to Vinh.. put me in the rope trick, trick..almost pulled my arms out of the sockets. Beat me on the head with a little wooden rod until my eyes were swelled shut, and my unshot, unbroken hand a pulp.

    Next day hung me by the arms...rebroke my right wrist...wiped out the nerves in my arms that control the hands..rolled my fingers up into a ball. Only left the slightest movement of my L forefinger. So I started answering with some incredible lies.

    Sent me to Hanoi strapped to a barrel of gas in the back of a truck.

    Hanoi ..on my knees..rope trick again. Beaten by a big fool.

    Into leg irons on a bed in Heartbreak Hotel.

    Much kneeling--hands up at Zoo.

    Really bad beating for refusing to condemn Lyndon Johnson.

    Several more kneeling events. I could see my knee bone thru kneeling holes.

    There was an escape from the annex to the Zoo. I was the Senior Officer of a large building because of escape..they started a mass torture of all commanders.

    I think it was July 7, 1969..they started beating me with a car fan belt. In first 2 days I took over 300 strokes..then stopped counting because I never thought I would live thru it.

    They continued day-nite torture to get me to confess to a non-existent part in the escape. This went on for at least 3 days. On my knees..fan belting.. cut open my scrotum with fan belt stroke. opened up both knee holes again. My fanny looked like hamburger..I could not lie on my back.

    They tortured me into admitting that I was in on the escape..and that my 2 room-mates knew about it.

    The next day I denied the lie.

    They commenced torturing me again with 3- 6- or 9 strokes of the fan belt every day from about July 11 or 12rh..to 14 October 1969. I continued to refuse to lie about my roommates again.

    Now, the point of this is that our make-believe president has declared to the world that we ( U.S. ) are a bunch of torturers.. Thus it will be OK to torture us next time when they catch us....because that is what the U.S. does.

    Our make-believe president is a know nothing fool who thinks that pouring a little water on some one's face, or hanging a pair of women’s pants over an Arabs head is TORTURE. He is a meathead.

    I just talked to MOH holder Leo Thorsness who was also in my sq in jail .... as was John McCain ... and we agree that McCain does not speak for the POW group when he claims that Al Gharib was torture .. or that "water boarding" is torture.

    Our president and those fools around him who keep bad mouthing our great country are a disgrace to the United States . Please pass this info on to Sean Hannity. He is free to use it to point out the stupidity of the claims that water boarding ...which has no after effect... is torture. If it got the Arab to cough up the story about how he planned the attack on the twin towers in NYC ... hurrah for the guy who poured the water.

  • Bioterrorism charge against UN, USA, NATO

    Jesus flippin' christ this is scary. What the hell?!!

    http://www.naturalnews.com/026503_pandemic_swine_flu_bioterrorism.html
    In her charges, Burgermeister presents evidence of acts of bioterrorism that is in violation of U.S. law by a group operating within the U.S. under the direction of international bankers who control the Federal Reserve, as well as WHO, UN and NATO. This bioterrorism is for the purpose of carrying out a mass genocide against the U.S. population by use of a genetically engineered flu pandemic virus with the intent of causing death. This group has annexed high government offices in the U.S.

    She's not so easy to dismiss either,

    Jane Burgermeister is a dual Irish/Austrian who has written for Nature, the British Medical Journal, and American Prospect. She is the European Correspondent of the Renewable Energy World website. She has written extensively about climate change, biotechnology, and the ecology.

  • Nick Griffin is awesome - listen to his wise words.

    Such a good honarable and honest man. The second part about rooting out corruption is very good. He can save Britain and make it great again. The country needs a fresh start, get rid of the old parties, and the corrupt councils officials and european parliment. Root out the politicalisation of teachers and the police. Members of the old parties are in it for there own gain, like he says at the end, they will get a job on the board of some company that they illegally helped. But the BNP is for the working class people, and are honest, with no expenses scandal.

  • The Burka

    Hi to everybody...President Sarkozy has stated that the burka should not be allowed in France as it represents oppression of women and is offensive to many people. He states it is not compulsory according to the Koran for women to be concealed completely beneath coverings so no reason exists for people continuing to wear the burka in France.
    What do you think? Also found out, when the head scarf was banned in French schools and universities a lot of the Moslem women teachers came over here to teach where it is still permitted...
    I don't like seeing the burkas at all over here, and do find them offensive, but...and I've had to think about this a lot...has a government the right to tell women residing in their country what they can and can't wear, however offensive it might be to others living there? If a Moslem woman chooses freely to wear one, I find I can't object to it...if, however, I discover they are being forced by the men to wear them using their religious laws as a reason for doing so, I would object most strongly...no women should be obliged to wear any article of clothing against her will in a free country. France claims that all people are equal, but I saw a film last night called 'Days of Glory' about the Algerian, Moroccan and African soldiers who did a great deal to help in the liberation of France during WW2 and were treated terribly, being given no recognition for their bravery and the French government stopped paying their army pensions in 1950...following a long court case, they were restored in 2002 to be paid in full for the missed years! The French government still hasn't started paying them. It seems to me particularly hypocritical to claim to be defending the rights of Moslem women when, behind the scenes, the government is treating its liberators disgracefully...we were up in arms when our government tried to keep the Gurkhas out of our country after they fought alongside us in the same war...will be interesting to see whether any of the French demand that the African, Algerian and Moroccan soldiers...if any are still alive, receive their long overdue pensions...

  • Police tell Christian: it's a crime to say 'homosexuality is a sin'

    In my opinion free speech - providing that no one is offended - is not really free speech at all.

  • Police to investigate MPs expenses

    http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk_politics/8110022.stm

    Bluntly, it's about bloody time. Lots of us said this should have happened weeks ago and finally it has. Now, can every body please STFU about it until the police have finished. Take the cheap political point-making out of it, prosecute those who might have broken the law and if found guilty, throw the book at them.

    Thankyou.

  • An interesting article on Who's who in Iran

    Hi to everybody...here's an interesting article on who's who in Iran...
    http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/middle_east/627590.stm

  • Iran

    Hi to everybody...a simple question...do you consider that Ayatollah Ali Khamenei is correct in naming Britain as the most evil of all the countries who have criticized the Iranian election?

  • Iran election protests turn violent

    If the results are to be believed Ahmadinejad has won a landslide even in Mousavi heartlands.

    Mousavi said:

    The violations in the election are very serious and you are right to be deeply hurt..

    Rioting has begun.

  • Obama has another unhappy customer

    April 27, 2009

    The White House
    1600 Pennsylvania Avenue NW
    Washington , DC 20500

    Mr. Obama:

    I have had it with you and your administration, sir. Your conduct on your recent trip overseas has convinced me that you are not an adequate representative of the United States of America collectively or of me personally.
    You are so obsessed with appeasing the Europeans and the Muslim world that you have abdicated the responsibilities of the President of the United States of America. You are responsible to the citizens of the United States.

    You are not responsible to the peoples of any other country on earth. I personally resent that you go around the world apologizing for the United States telling Europeans that we are arrogant and do not care about their status in the world. Sir, what do you think the First World War and the Second World War were all about if not the consideration of the peoples of Europe? Are you brain dead? What do you think the Marshall Plan was all about?

    Do you not understand or know the history of the 20th century? Where do you get off telling a Muslim country that the United States does not consider itself a Christian country? Have you not read the Declaration of I ndependence or the Constitution of the United States? This country was founded on Judeo-Christian ethics and the principles governing this country, at least until you came along, come directly from this heritage. Do you not understand this?

    Your bowing to the king of Saudi Arabia is an affront to all Americans. Our President does not bow down to anyone, let alone the king of Saudi Arabia. You don't show Great Britain, our best and one of our oldest allies, the respect they deserve yet you bow down to the king of Saudi Arabia. How dare you, sir! How dare you!

    You can't find the time to visit the graves of our greatest generation because you don't want to offend the Germans but make time to visit a mosque in Turkey. You offended our dead and every veteran when you give the Germans more respect than the people who saved the German people from themselves. What's the matter with you?

    I am convinced that you and the members of your administration have the historical and intellectual depth of a mud puddle and should be ashamed of yourselves, all of you. You are so self-righteously offended by the big bankers and the American automobile manufacturers yet do nothing about the real thieves in this situation, Mr. Dodd, Mr. Frank, Franklin Raines, Jamie Gorelic, the Fannie Mae bonuses, and the Freddie Mac bonuses. What do you intend to do about them? Anything? I seriously doubt it.

    What about the U.S. House members passing out $9.1 million in bonuses to their staff members -- on top of the $2.5 million in automatic pay raises that lawmakers gave themselves? I understand the average House aide got a 17% bonus. I took a 5% cut in my pay to save jobs with my employer.

    You haven't said anything about that. Who authorized that? I surely didn't! Executives at Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac will be receiving $210 million in bonuses over an eighteen-month period, that's $45 million more than the AIG bonuses. In fact, Fannie and Freddie executives have already been awarded $51 million -- not a bad take. Who authorized that and why haven't you expressed your outrage at this group who are largely responsible for the economic mess we have right now.

    I resent that you take me and my fellow citizens as brain-dead and not caring about what you idiots do. We are watching what you are doing and we are getting increasingly fed up with all of you. I also want you to know that I personally find just about everything you do and say to be offensive to20every one of my sensibilities. I promise you that I will work tirelessly to see that you do not get a chance to spend two terms destroying my beautiful country.

    Sincerely,

    Every Real American

  • California's Deficit

    http://www.latimes.com/news/local/la-statebudget-fl,0,95571.htmlstory

    LA Times has made a lighthearted interactive 'game' to see how you can attempt to cut their $24 Billion deficit. Although it's not going to make a difference, it is an interesting exercise showing what governments are involved in and how difficult it is really to cut spending, once it's already started.

    Have a go, I'd be interested to see how people attempt to do it.

  • Enough about the BNP, what of UK Independence?

    UKIP came 2nd in the EU polls. If you add their numbers to BNP, SNP, Plaid Cymru, No2EU and ED, we get more than the Tories who came first. i.e. add up all those who want the UK split up or to no longer be in the EU and we get more votes than the biggest winners got.

    I reckon that's pretty significant.

    Tom.

  • Well Done The BNP

    Their campaign succeeded and democracy has been served again. I don't like what they stand for, but they won fair and square.

    Now can we please let Labour get back to running the country again until the General Election next year.

  • What happens next?

    I was discussing with a close friend a couple of scenarios relating to the near future of British politics. I thought that they might be interesting enough to share with my friends and colleagues here on this blog.

    Thoughts, comments and (of course) alternative scenarios are welcome!

    Scenario 1 - "Et tu, Brute?"

    Jack Straw will leads a deputation to Gordon Brown on Friday/Monday (or sooner) telling him that for the good of the party etc. he'd better be off sodding off.

    Then:

    * Monday/Tuesday - Brown resigns as Leader of the Labour party, carrying on as a caretaker PM;
    * August - Labour special conference to elect new leader (Johnson; Harperson and Balls standing); Alan Johnson elected;
    * Election called in October/November;
    * Hung parliament - Labour (just) largest party (thanks to the "Johnson Jump" (similar to the "Brown Bounce"));
    * Johnson with support of Lib-Dems form majority government with Royal Commission on Electoral Reform and referendum on the findings;
    * Cameron continues as Tory leader;
    * May 2013 Referendum rejects findings of the Royal Commission on Electoral Reform;
    * Coalition collapses;
    * Elections called for October 2013;
    * Tories win majority of 5;
    * Cameron PM; Lord Blair of Sedgefield appointed advisor to the government;
    * Clegg resigns; Johnson resigns (Milliband becomes leader; Balls as Shadow Chancellor); Lib-Dems merge into New Labour; Old Labour splits off and is led by Harperson.

    Scenario 2 - Reshuffle the deck; then go for broke.

    Brown reshuffles and heads of calls for his head.

    * Monday/Tuesday - Brown reshuffles; Balls Chancellor; Mandleson FO; Darling Home Office; Lord (George) Robertson [remember him?] Defence;
    * July/August warm and sunny - some encouraging economic news;
    * September - more encouraging economic news;
    * Election called in October/November;
    * Hung parliament - Tories largest party;
    * Brown with support of Lib-Dems form government with promise of Royal Commission on Electoral Reform and referendum on the findings (Balls FO; Clegg Chancellor; Vince Cable elected Speaker);
    * Cameron continues as Tory leader;
    * May 2013 Referendum rejects findings of the Royal Commission on Electoral Reform;
    * July 2013 State funeral for Margaret Thatcher causes ripples in the coalition
    * August 2013 Coalition collapses;
    * Elections called for October 2013;
    * Tories win majority of 150; Lib-Dems reduced to 14 MPs; Labour wiped out in the south;
    * Cameron PM; Lord Blair of Sedgefield appointed advisor to the government; Ken Clarke to FO; negotiations for euro accession commenced;
    * Brown resigns; Clegg resigns (after losing seat);
    * New Labour and Lib-Dems merge forming "Social Democratic and Liberal Party" (Milburn and Susan Kramer joint leaders);
    * Labour elects Ed Milliband as leader; David Milliband as Deputy Leader;
    * June 2014 UK referendum votes in favour of adoption of euro;
    * January 2017 becomes euro official currency of UK;
    * May 2017 general election;
    * Tories win majority of 140; SDLP returned with 35 MPs; Labour Party in opposition led by Ed Milliband/David Milliband take seats from SDLP.

  • 4th US Abortion Doctor Killed, possibly by Pro-Life Activist

    Irony there perhaps?

    http://edition.cnn.com/2009/CRIME/05/31/kansas.doctor.killed/index.html?er%20ef=rss_topstories

    "Dr. George Tiller, whose Kansas women's clinic frequently took center stage in the U.S. debate over abortion, was shot and killed while serving as an usher at his Wichita church Sunday morning, police said"

    "His clinic suffered serious damage from a bomb in the mid-1990s, and he was shot through both arms in 1993 by an anti-abortion activist"

    "Tiller had armed security at his clinic and a "pretty rigorous" security procedure at home, Brownlie said. But he "made an effort to live his life as normally as possible knowing he could be a target at any time"

    "He and his staff had been picketed for years"

    " If Tiller was killed because of his work, he would be the fourth U.S. physician killed over abortion since 1993.

    In 1998, a sniper killed Dr. Barnett Slepian in his Amherst, New York, home. Anti-abortion activist James Kopp was later arrested in France and is serving life in prison.

    In 1994, Dr. John Bayard Britton and one of his volunteer escorts were shot and killed outside an abortion clinic in Pensacola, Florida. Paul Hill, a former minister, was convicted of the killings and executed in 2003.

    And in 1993, another doctor, David Gunn, was shot to death outside another Pensacola clinic. His killer, Michael Griffin, is serving a life sentence"

    --------------

    Terrorists come in all shapes and sizes.

    Tom.
