Hi to everybody...did anybody here catch Panorama Special with Jane Corbin last night at 9? It was a documentary about the missing $23 billion dollars in Iraq that has disappeared into the pockets of war profiteers and many are directly connected to Bush and his government....could have done without the interspersed old movie clips which were an unnecessary filler, perhaps to lighten an extremely heavy subject, but, apart from that, it was a real eye opener.
Youtube will probably have it soon, but it's not there yet...and surprise, surprise, the BBC watch again isn't showing it...maybe a bit too soon, but I think it should be up there and available to see for anybody who missed it...

It should be on the watch again on BBC's website soon...quite horrifying the amount of money been stolen or filtered away....the USA now has oil drilling rights in Kurdistan alongside some other oil companies from elsewhere and the expected windfall is 4.5 trillion dollars!!! Iraq says it should belong to all the Iraqis because part of Iraq...just unbelievable...I'll let everybody know if it's on the website soon...it's been said that the Iraq war has been the most profitable in history for war profiteers...terrible...my bro went out there as a financial consultant, discovered what was going on and refused to be part of it...came home again within six weeks...

$4.5 trillion!!!!! That's 2 years of UK GDP!
Hells Bells. If it does appear on the web, I will watch it as that sounds fascinating and makes all the worst fears beforehand about the war being for oil justified.

oil is so prolific in Kurdistan it just bubbles up from beneath the surface to lie in pools on the ground...it's probably why the USA concentrated on getting the Kurdish area settled and relatively safe, because it was more than likely the area of Iraq they were really interested in getting hold off in the first place - the rest of Iraq it seems can go to hell and is...

The greedy money-grubbing so-and-so's. That's utterly despicable. I bet the Kurdish people would rather like the oil themselves.

They've probably had a damned good deal cutting out the Iraqi people completely...pay back time for the rotten deal they had under Saddam...nasty dirty business all round...

The attitude of the US soldiers in Iraq is shown perfectly in this video of them ramming cars in a Hummer:

One thing is sure, a fortune is going to be made, but not by any Kurds or Iraqis.

they certainly cleared the road quickly!! The locals must recognize how they drive because most moved out of their way without a nudge at all...hmmm....maybe they were on their way to something important...and yes, you're right about fortunes being made but also by some Iraqi government officials...the Minister of Defence brought in by the USA with no experience whatsoever has stolen four billion!! And is now wanted by the authorities but has done a disappearing act...came to the UK and bought properties in Marble Arch with some of his ill gotten gains which he now rents out...wonderful...he bought crap tanks and armaments from Poland and priced them as new and got paid for them so the Iraqi army has ended up with rubbish instead of good gear...not only the USA's profiteers is raking it in...corrupt Iraqi's are too...rotten, rotten business all round...

I suppose there are rotten officials everywhere. the older I get the more distrusting of officialdom I get, and that is a very, very bad thing.

Don't think I've trusted officialdom since I went to work...LOL...

There are good individuals in all organizations, but sometimes the system conspires against them to prevent their goodness from becoming manifest. The Civil Service is like a giant jelly: if you try to lay a punch on it, it just enfolds you before pushing you away again. The result is no change.

It's my firm belief that the number one reason Bush decided to invade Iraq, wasn't really so much Sadam-revenge, as it was profit-profit-profit for him and his corporate mates.

Oh, yes...freeing Iraq from Saddam...what a joke...It was Israel who wanted him removed because they saw him as a threat to their survival with his rhetoric...the only thing the USA were interesting in was the oil and to control the Middle East...Iran is definitely next on the list...bastards of the first order...
