1. Economists are always wrong, I trust the people on Wall Street.
2. Dramatic music does not add weight to an argument.
3. There might be a recession (it may have already started) but it's not gonna be the armageddon he makes out.
4. The analogy he uses at the beginning (the island) is not entirely accurate because the US is also a massive producer with a homegrown industrial and agricultural base.
5. The video does not mention the EU which has been attempting to overthrow the power of the US ever since WW2.
It's an interesting video though, but I get the feeling that it is yet another America hater wishing this stuff upon that sinfully consumerist nation.-

I agree with a lot of your points. The US has a GDP 4 x the size of the next country and equal to the entire EU.
Although I do think there may be a pretty severe rebalancing of the global economy. -
