Good to hear from you, Munzly...I've always understood a good breakfast started the day off well...and always took that to be a decent bowl of a good cereal...according to this review of breakfasts, my bran in the morning is not good as considered indigestible but I've eaten it for years and never had indigestion or bloating from it...and it keeps me regular as well...can only eat a full English on holiday and that keeps us going until dinner with a small sandwich in the middle of the day...that is of course very bad for you...LOL, but very nice all the same...I think this review will end up where most do...in the bin...Ray eats Oatibix now and that's supposed to be good for something..forgotten what now...
What did you give your employees as a matter of interest? Also never eat a late evening meal...5 to 6 is our meal time....big hugs...-

Being vegetarian, we gave them poached, boiled or fried egg, if fried with mushrooms and toms, toast, cereal, tea or coffee and fruit juice. Not too heavy - they were expected to work, not sleep! We started at 8.00am and broke for breakfast at 9.00am, 30mins for lunch at noon and off home at 4.30pm. It was a pottery studio and crafts wholesale, there were about 20 of them, mostly under 25.

oooh, sounds delicious...
Silly people...I could never eat that much on a normal day...would be truly bloated...think I can eat so much more on holiday because use up loads more energy going places...sitting in front of a comp or moving around the house doesn't exactly use that much physical energy so less need for a big breakfast I think... -

I read that as saying that you should eat breakfast and it should contain protein but not fat. I don't like the idea of protein powders, but eggs and nuts in some combination sounds good to me.
Cheers, Tom.-

Eggs are high in cholesterol...and are also binding...and nuts are incredibly indigestible...LOL...I don't know which would be worse for me, the binding or the indigestion...don't fancy either...big hugs...

It makes sense to me. I think the main things to remember are 'all things in moderation', that over-processed foods or foods with extreme amounts of certain nutrients at the expense of others are to be avoided, and that everybody's body is is different and you need to know what works for you.
Commercial cereals are a huge con, and almost always taste disgustingly sweet. I stick with porridge in the winter, muesli in summer, and a full English whenever I get the chance, and it seems to work, but that's just me.
Oh, and I always avoid those 'be good to yourself' ranges, because they usually have some kind of artificially created crap as a substitute for good, honest ingredients. Like the '30% less fat' peanut butter, which, when I read the label, had 30% less peanuts. No wonder it tasted awful.-

I read through at it appeared to me almost every breakfast she described had some problems with it...so I was left wondering at the end of her review exactly what she recommended...she didn't...I would have thought the object of the review would be to once again tell us what we should be eating
Big hugs...XXX

As I've always understood it, a general rule is that anything you eat before noon goes towards the days energy use, anything after that goes into storage for the following day.

Therefore if you eat too much, too late in the day, you won't feel like breakfast because you've got stored stuff to use up. Then eating later means it goes into store, so you're always storing too much.
A good protein-rich breakfast taken EVERY day is therefore the best way of doing it. The worst possible thing is that big evening meal that we are all addicted to......
For an experiment, back in the 1970s I gave all my employees a free healthy home-cooked breakfast, but humanity just can't be forced to be healthy, so after the novelty wore off there were very few takers - amazing!
